About

Mostly about cooking, some blurbs on my attempts to eat and live as naturally as possible, advice on how to eat healthy on a budget, a little misguidance on how to garden and an occasional short story about the happenings in my life.

I have a Certificate of Proficiency in Commercial Cooking from a community college as well as an Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from the Culinary Institute of America.  I have worked in numerous kitchens as a line cook, prep cook, baker and  I currently work as a pastry cook at a resort in Florida.  My next goal in life is to earn my Bachelor's Degree and become a registered dietitian.  While I love being a pastry cook, I would like to use the knowledge I have acquired to teach people how to make wholesome, healthy food that tastes good.  In the meantime, I have created this site in hopes that I can help people learn to eat well without burning a hole in their wallet.

We are living in a world today where lemonade is made from artificial flavors and furniture polish is made from real lemons.
